The M & CBA is the official United Kingdom County Bridge Association for the two counties of Merseyside and Cheshire, which include within their boundaries the famous cities of Liverpool and Chester, the Wirral Peninsula and numerous towns and villages within their hinterland. We exist to foster and encourage the playing of the fine game of Contract Bridge, both within these counties and in national competitions, and to draw up teams to play against neighbouring Bridge associations.

The M & CBA was formed when it was decided to divide the former very large (both geographically and membership-wise) North-West Bridge Association into three separate associations. The other two associations thus created were Lancashire CBA and Manchester CBA - so today in the North West we have 3 times as many events to participate in as we had before this administrative restructuring. No wonder some of us never sleep!

Like most organisations of its kind, the M & CBA continues to operate due to the voluntary efforts of its officials and many helpers.

If you are willing and able to give your time and support to assist with any aspect of our committee work (general administration, event organisation, information distribution etc) ..... your contribution would be most welcome.
